Preparing Your Quilt For Longarm:
- For quilts with no outside border, it is best to baste around the outside edge at 1/4 - 3/8 inch to prevent stretching.
- Check the entire quilt for any small holes of missing stitches. These should be repaired by hand.
- Trim all loose threads.
- The backing fabric should be pressed and stitched with a 1/4 - 3/8 seam where neccessary. Any selvage should be trimmed away from seam.
- The back should be at least 3-4 inches larger than the quilt top on all sides.
- When you submit your quilt we will help you choose a thread color and a quilt pattern.
